Winston "Sugarcane" Fergus is a roots reggae legend who began his musical journey in 1976 as the lead singer of The Equators. Blessed with a warm, commanding voice, he quickly became a respected presence on the UK reggae scene.

In 1977, Winston played a pivotal role in mentoring emerging talent, introducing singer Gad to Sinclair, leading to the release of influential recordings that helped shape British roots reggae culture.

Now based in London, Winston continues to record and perform under Fergie Music Raw, delivering conscious music rooted in justice, unity, and spiritual upliftment.
